Be Lazy. Why not?
Lazy is as lazy does.
Don’t tell me when to get up in the morning. I’ll sleep as long as I like. If I want to sleep all day and watch Netflix at night so be it. Who’s to say that’s not a life goal worth achieving? You don’t see much of that in the self-help books. No one’s bankin’ on you sleepin’ all day and not crushing your goals. No one can make a seminar for laziness as a goal.
Or can they?
Can lazy be the new norm? Just do nothin’. Just sit around and eat bananas and swing on hammocks under our glorious blue sky?
Can this be my goal?
What if you woke up and your body said, in plain English or whatever language you were fluent in, I want to sit around and watch Netflix all day. I ain’t goin’ to work. I ain’t takin’ the kids to school. I ain’t doin’ NOTHIN’.
What if?
What if those monkeys, the ones in videos and at the zoo, just sittin’ round pickin’ fleas off each other’s backs, all hairy and stinky, what if those monkeys decided to crush their goals and work hard and make money and be a success in their monkey life?
What would that look like?
Would they wear business suits? Drive cars? Use iPhones to check their stock prices?
What if we sat around and ate popcorn and drank carbonated water from the well of nowhere and loved it?
Do we need to be so focused on our goals that we forget the ride?
